This paper will be taught wholly online, but is listed as a (HAM) offering, as some students may need to access visual resources from the University Library or ITS. Materials, in the form of PPTs, text documents, etc., will be uploaded on to Moodle every Thursday throughout the trimester. All assignments will be submitted via Moodle.

  • Analyse key cultural signifiers embedded in examples of the visual cultures of East Asia

  • Demonstrate a critical understanding of some of the aesthetic, historical and philosophical dimensions that have shaped East Asian visual cultures
